I joined St. James right before the Covid virus. I had heard of St. James and thought I’d check it out. The people I have met here have been more than kind and are most genuine and faithful. That itself is attractive, but Fr. Koys topped it all off. His humility and wisdom are on display at every Mass. St. James is the kind of environment that you want to become more a part of, so I have volunteered to do things such as teach CCD and help with Vacation Bible School. I am honored to be part of the Sag Bridge Mission Society (SBMS). The society is independent of St. James, but St. James was the conduit for me.
I am a retired, single man with four grown children. Like many Catholics in my age group, I am trying to learn the faith that I should have learned 50+ years ago. The SBMS is exactly what I need in my life. To deepen our faith, and to share the same, to me, seems to be the essential mission of a Catholic.
